Welcome to all who wish to know Jesus Christ. I would like to share my story, my journey in Christ.
I was not raised in a Church home. When I was six, my 2-year-old sister drowned in our backyard pool. At that young age, I did not understand any of the pain my parents went through. When I was 15, my 16-year-old sister died from a very aggressive cancer. I understood anguish and sorrow then. We had a pastor that visited us during her illness, encouraging us and praying with us. I had many questions about God, how could this happen, and why? After searching, our family found answers in knowing and accepting Christ as our Savior.
From a devastating tragedy good came. My father dedicated his life to Christ and my mother renewed her teenage commitment to serve the Lord. I also dedicated my life to serve Jesus Christ in whatever way he wanted me to go. We steadily attended church. With this commitment made, I am one of the lucky ones that escaped the entanglements of youthful rebellion and sin. My testimony to you, if you want to be kept clean, Jesus Christ can keep you!
I went to a Junior College and graduated with an Associate degree in Applied Science. I got a job at a hospital lab where I met my husband-to-be. I knew he was “THE ONE”. Within a few years we were married. We have been married for 39 years, and each one of those years, very happily married. We were, and are, like bread and butter, and NEVER fought in all those years. You may think this is impossible, but it is NOT. Through our love for Christ and each other, the commitment we made in our wedding vows NEVER wavered, and in the same way my vow to Christ has also remained. Through many years of life situations, I have worked at my relationship with Christ, with my husband, with family, friends, and community. I received advice, help, guidance and support from both Rose and Kale, and each member of The Church of Jesus Christ Forever.
My relationship with Christ has become closer through the many years. In a world of turmoil, Christ is my Rock, my Salvation, my High Tower, my Love, He is first and foremost in every decision and direction of my life. I owe a great debt of gratitude to the Lord for bringing me to The Church of Jesus Christ Forever.
I leave you with a portion of a song that sums my life up:
“And all my life You have been faithful
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God”
I pray you are touched by the love of my Savior, brother and friend, Jesus Christ.
